Wide Open wins IDSA IDEA Award
Wide Open brand design recognized by the International Design Excellence Awards with bronze last week in Austin, Texas
We received an International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) for our innovative strategy and brand work for Wide Open.
The project, a human-centered brand identity for a new company and product created by the makers of Darn Tough, won a bronze award in the brand category. The project integrated human-centered research and design thinking to create a people-first brand identity, launch strategy and website design—built on a foundation of consumer insights.
The project, chosen from over 2,000 entries, was announced as a winner on Thursday, September 12 at the IDEA Award Ceremony in Austin, Texas. The IDEA is “one of the longest running and most prestigious design awards programs in existence,” says the Industrial Designers Association of America (IDSA), which has run the program for the past 44 years. Initially focused on industrial design, the program has expanded to include human-centered branding, strategy and environments.
